Hello GISuser... and welcome to our Thursday geotech news roundup. This drop comes from yours truly as I'm on the road visiting the Colorado Front Range for a few days - always great to hit GIS Alley any time of the year! Speaking of being on the road, we have a number of event updates to share today. The gang from Blue Marble Geographics have announced dual conferences this year as the team will be hosting events this fall in Houston, Texas and Calgary, Alberta. Blue Marble has decided to offer two User Conferences this year due to the success and turnout of last year's event. BMUC 2014 promises to be bigger and better with brand new presenters, demo's on new software tips and tricks, software trivia, prizes and more! Those of you looking for some professional development in the comfort of your own office, take note of an online event today from Golden Software as they host the second livestream designed to introduce and educate you on their visualization tools. Also today, Esri is hosting a session all about mobile data collection in a disconnectd environment (iOS or Android) using Collector - the event runs several times today! Finally, this past week in the Rocky Mountains, Trimble launched a mobile viewing app for SketchUp for iOS at their Basecamp developer event - great stuff Trimble!
