Google and Skybox announce Skybox for Good
Techcrunch has revealed that the program launches this week in beta with a small group of partners. The images provided to these organizations will be publicly available under a Creative Commons license. The company expects many more non-profit organizations and public interest groups to benefit from the use of Skybox data. |

Maine Maps from USGS Feature National Scenic Trails
Newly released US Topo maps for Maine now feature segments of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail (A.T.). Several of the 715 new US Topo quadrangles for the state now display parts of the A.T. along with other improved data layers. These new maps replace the first edition US Topo maps for Maine and are available for free download |
