Hello GISuser... Welcome once again as we kick off the final news update for October. We have loads of updates to share with you including word of a call for presentations for the way cool railConf 2008, currently being organized by the gang at O'reilly Media. Over at Sanborn the crew has made available some maps showing threats from the California Wildfires. Sean over at GeoCommons has also added a number of data resources for Southern california as well. A reminder, last week at the CTIA Wireless show, Steve Largent announced the text2Help program designed to help users quickly and easily donate to help the cause... see this info video I captured here.
