Mr. Bass leads Fairfax County’s efforts to prepare for, respond to and recover from significant emergencies that affect more than one million citizens just outside Washington, DC. He oversees the county’s emergency management program, county emergency operations center, domestic terrorism planning and grant programs as well as other emergency planning, training and exercise initiatives.

LoSoNet 2006 examines how to apply social networked approaches to homeland security and defense programs to enhance situational awareness and information sharing.
