CH2M HILL Partners with Autodesk on Release of Topobase 2007  E-mail
Written by CH2M HILL
12 September 2006
Denver, CO, September 12, 2006 - CH2M HILL’s Enterprise Spatial Solutions business today announced it has advanced its partnership with Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) by providing technology integration and business consulting experience for Autodesk Topobase 2007, an infrastructure design and management solution.

As a leading global full-service engineering and consulting firm, CH2M HILL has seasoned engineering expertise in Topobase core markets: utilities, municipal governments and engineering operations.  In addition, CH2M HILL Enterprise Spatial Solutions (ESS) brings a wealth of spatial solutions integration and consulting expertise to these core markets, providing spatial solutions to both public and private utilities organizations.

Autodesk Topobase 2007 software addresses the challenges faced by organizations that collaborate on infrastructure projects, such as water or electrical networks, by enabling teams to share spatial information across departments. Topobase customers can see the big picture with a more integrated view of all of their enterprise data, and improve productivity and bottom line results by completing projects faster and maintaining assets more efficiently.

“We are excited to further deepen our partnership with Autodesk by providing spatial solutions integration and consulting expertise to their Topobase 2007 product,” said Nigel Nugent, vice president, CH2M HILL ESS Channel Partners.  “The Topobase product provides tremendous capabilities to enable utility, engineering and municipal government clients to share critical spatial information across departments.  CH2M HILL looks forward to providing expertise from a spatial consulting and traditional engineering perspective to these customers.”

“CH2M HILL will provide significant value in helping our customers implement Autodesk Topobase 2007 and integrate their CAD and GIS assets,” said Chris Bradshaw, vice president Infrastructure Solutions at Autodesk. “By offering a proven mix of spatial consulting and integration expertise coupled with years of engineering experience with utilities, government and infrastructure, CH2M HILL can help assure that customers receive the most out of their investment.”

CH2M HILL’s Enterprise Spatial Solutions (ESS) business has partnered with Autodesk on several of Autodesk’s geospatial and computer-aided design products including Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise software and Autodesk Buzzsaw online project collaboration service.  For more information, visit: http://www.ch2m.com/ess.

Autodesk anticipates Autodesk Topobase 2007 will be available in International English in October 2006. For more information, visit: http://www.autodesk.com/topobase.

CH2M HILL ESS leverages 30 years of business consulting, GIS, computer-aided design (CAD), global positioning systems (GPS), relational database management system (RDBMS) and systems development experience to help organizations create an enterprise view of its spatial data, assets and facilities.  The CH2M HILL ESS team of GIS and IT specialists design, customize and fully integrate the visualization power of spatial technology with all location-related corporate information systems including supply chain management, enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), logistics, and asset management.  CH2M HILL Enterprise Spatial Solutions line of business is part of the company’s Communications and Information Solutions Business Group.
