MetaCarta Appoints Rick Hutton as Vice President of Content Services

Cambridge, MA – June7, 2006 – MetaCarta, Inc., a leading provider in geographic-based business intelligence, is pleased to announce that Rick Hutton has joined its corporate team in Cambridge, MA as Vice President of Content Services, and will be responsible for maximizing revenues derived from the sale of MetaCarta geographic content and applications.
Hutton brings more than 25 years of business development and operations experience to the team. Most recently, Hutton was with VideoLink where he was responsible for sales and marketing. Prior to that, Hutton was with Lycos where he managed all business development activities for Lycos.com, Quote.com, Lycos Entertainment and Wired News. Hutton also served as the Director of Multimedia & Mobile Services and managed the team charged with developing, deploying and maintaining broadband/multimedia and mobile-web services across all of Lycos’ U.S. based web sites. Hutton also held management positions at Eprise Corporation, a software company providing web content management solutions as well as Infocellular, a software company providing sales automation solutions to wireless telecom companies.
