GeoConcept launches the International Geomarketing Alliance (IGA)  E-mail

This consortium of European companies with expertise in market analysis, answers the real need for world data and map analysis systems.

May 4th 2006: GeoConcept SA, leading supplier of professional map analysis and optimisation technology announces the launch of the International Geomarketing Alliance (IGA). This initiative brings together market analysis specialists from many countries, providing a single source of expertise to address real business issues.

Today, few companies are restricted to a single country and so an understanding of a much broader market is necessary, opening the marketing professional to enormous cultural, linguistic and structural diversity. In order to address this need for a wider view, GeoC5oncept created the IGA. By giving an international dimension to this alliance, companies with multi-national interests will now be able to obtain the technology, data and professional expertise they require.

For now, six companies have been selected as founder partners in the IGA. They will manage the Alliance’s key activities:

· GeoConcept, France

· MapMechanics, United Kingdom

· Adhoc Solutions, Belgium · ValueLab, Italy

· Carat / Datacom, Spain

· MicroGIS, Switzerland

“Our main goal is to offer companies real innovative thinking and new geomarketing methods for multi-national market analysis and predictive modelling”, says Guillaume Beauregard, Marketing and Commercial Director and initiator of the project. “For this important project, we have chosen companies with complementary competences in order to quickly provide extensive seamless coverage to our customers. Indeed, the Alliance aims to help customers undertake analysis in many countries without even being aware of the country borders.”

Homogeneous methods and detailed data

The International Geomarketing Alliance addresses the needs of multi-national companies who want to widen the scope of their export strategies; for instance national firms aiming at Europe and the international or foreign firms wishing to apply their model and analysis on the European market. With highly detailed data and homogeneous methods across borders, the Alliance will minimise analytical constraints caused by differences between countries to enable companies to concentrate more on their own business strategies.

The International Geomarketing Alliance offers added value with technology and data designed to suit international projects. Software solutions provide geocoding and analytical functionality across many countries together with a vast range of data. The Alliance will therefore be able to help firms generating scores and potential indicators, either in B2B or B2C, at a European level. Firms will also be able to centralise the whole analysis to efficiently define their marketing strategy.

About MapMechanics

MapMechanics is the UK distributor of the GeoConcept geographic information system, which is widely used in a diverse range of fields including retail planning, marketing, healthcare, environmental planning and management, policing, broadcasting, asset tracking, transport and logistics, as well as in central and local government.
