3D Nature is pleased to introduce their new Google Earth KML exporter for their Scene Express product. This new feature brings all of 3D Nature's world-renowned landscape-visualization technology to the realm of KML- compatible 3D Geographic Exploration Systems like Google Earth(TM) and ESRI's ArcGIS(TM) Explorer.
Users can place roads, vegetation and landcover, buildings, vehicles and structures to build a comprehensive and detailed environment. Visual Nature Studio makes creating still images and animated flythroughs a snap, and Scene Express' multi-format exporter expands these abilities into the domains of VRML, 3D Nature's NatureView Express and now KML for Google Earth.
3D Nature's Vice President of Research and Development Chris Hanson remarked, "Google Earth has brought 3D terrain visualization to everyman, broadening the exposure of our entire industry along the way. Making our tools support KML is only natural. While KML is not suitable for all projects, it dovetails nicely with our other capabilities ensuring access to the right tool for almost any job. For environments that require integration into a 3D globe, use Google Earth. For smaller and more detailed areas, use NatureView Express. The great thing is we have one toolset that can produce the same scene in both viewers from one GIS or CAD dataset."
Notable features of the KML exporter include the ability to quickly and easily link rich text, photos and web page links to objects in the 3D scene, driven by GIS attribute data. This permits the rapid creation of huge environments with markers and other entities that can be clicked upon to display information, or even jump to a web site about the entity.
The Google Earth exporter is available now as a free update for all current Scene Express 2 owners.
