GITA 2006 to Feature New One Call Programming E-mail
Written by GITA
13 April 2006
Aurora, Colo., April 12, 2006—The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) announced today the addition of extensive One Call programming at Annual Conference 29, slated for April 23-26, 2006, at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla.

The One Call Connection includes a half-day seminar, seven paper presentations, and a special panel discussion—offering case studies, best practices, details on new technologies, and more.

“This new feature will showcase how geospatial technologies can significantly strengthen the efforts of One Call notification centers,” said Bob Samborski, Executive Director, GITA. “It will also provide information that utilities and local governments need to know to fully leverage those centers.”

The conference will feature 70 technical paper presentations, panel discussions, user forums, nine half-day seminars, networking socials, a job fair, a poster session, and a 100,000-square-foot product and services exhibition. The Oracle Spatial Users Conference and Ten Sails Smallworld Symposium will round-out conference activities Thursday, April 27, 2006, at the Tampa Convention Center.

Online registration will close April 18 at noon Pacific Standard Time. Registration fees start at $379. Exhibits-only passes are $25. Full details about the conference are available at the GITA Web site, located at www.gita.org, or by contacting GITA headquarters at 303-337-0513; e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
