In order to efficiently handle increasing responsibilities and improve municipal services, the District, with the aid of Pacific Alliance Technologies, have implemented North Saanich Map.
Powered by Autodesk MapGuide, North Saanich Map enables users to view property information, parks and recreational facilities, transportation features, contours, and aerial photography (2005).
The District of North Saanich is planning additional enhancements for their public GIS site in 2006. With the help of Pacific Alliance (www.pat.ca), development of these enhancements will include the addition of zoning boundaries, places of interest and linkage with the municipal website for parks, trails and other information. North Saanich Map provides Engineers, Architects, Real-Estate Agents, other businesses and the general public with an efficient way to view mapping information related to the community.
