The LidarXchange - buy, rent, sell LIDAR data and related assets

17 February 2006
Introducing the LiDARXCHANGE.com, an exclusive network of LiDAR service mapping providers, owners, and operators of multi-million dollar mapping assets who recognize the value in tracking the location and productivity of their sensors, aircraft, and related resources. In development for some 2 years now, the "Xchange" is ideal for those who need to track updates to available LIDAR imagery, offering users the ability to buy, rent, sell, or request information that meet specific project requirements and specifications.
Developed and operated by Airborne 1 Corp., users of the LidarXchange are urged to register as site members. As members, participants are offered a chance to increase revenues, reduce costs, improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase competitiveness in the marketplace.
The eXchange provides members with a forum to buy, rent, sell, and post LIDAR data and related assets - typically these assets are categorized as being "Avialable" and "Wanted". Searching the available section will yield hits of available sensors, aircraft, personnel, and equipment like GPS and digital cameras.
The wanted section will reveal opportunities listed by other site members who are interested in buying or renting sensor capacity, personnel, or other assets.
To particpicate members are encouraged to vsit the website or email info-at-lidarxchange.com - please note: these are coasts associated with membership and participation (ie. setup fees, transaction costs, and commissions)

NOTE: NO start-up fees are associated with the LiDARXCHANGE. Users may visit the site freely. And, participating members may post their assets online for free once a contractual NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) agreement has been established. If, down the line, a user decides they would like to track their hardware via a GPS enabled ‘X Tracker’ transmitter, then an initial hardware purchase price and monthly subscription may be incurred.
LidarXchange was officially launched at the LIDAR forum... the company will be re-representing the LX technology as well as introducing a new Online Geodatabase, Spatial Warehouse, via a new site www.LiDARDATA.com at the upcoming ASPRS show in May.
