Berkeley, California, January 11, 2006 -- BuddyMapper (http://www.buddymapper.com), the newest social networking site online seeks to shift social networking from online to offline. The social networking platform implemented allows users to visually use an online map to find other members with similar interests emphasizing relationships outside of the internet. This technology takes social networking in an entirely new direction by highlighting the benefits of location, providing users the ability to actually meet and activity together.
The innovative social networking system allows users to instantly find others who share similar interests within their neighborhood by zooming into their neighborhood and viewing/filtering profiles of other users within their vicinity. Members may create personal pages to express themselves along with other social networking functionalities such as blogging, photo sharing and messaging.
