RentSlicer.com Launches San Francisco Bay Area Portal  E-mail
Written by RentSlicer
28 December 2005
VENICE, Calif., Dec. 21 - RentSlicer.com, the wildly popular web resource for Los Angeles county rental property statistics, proudly launches a version for the San Francisco Bay Area.

"The bay area is one of the most vibrant rental markets in the country," says developer August Kleimo. "We are pleased to offer our advanced search and analysis tools to the people of San Francisco."

RentSlicer.com also integrates the visual, contextual elements of Google Maps with its famed rental property search database. The new viewing interface allows the user to list properties visually on a map (complete with rental summary), and then link to the details for each listing.

August Kleimo, RentSlicer.com's creator, says "I'm very excited about the new mash-up functionality. With one click, users can get a visual of average home prices or specific rental listings in an area. Since mash-ups happen in real time, users can get up-to-the-minute information."

Real-estate developers, landlords, income property owners and renters have been drawn to the unique benefits of RentSlicer.com.

The detailed graph analysis is helpful to developers in determining rental trends in specific areas, and landlords can see their competition to determine the exact worth of their rentals.

Renters can utilize the 'slicer tool' to choose listings with specific criteria (e.g. two-bedroom guesthouses in Menlo Park) and then see a map with all of the listings graphically represented. Individual properties can be selected for viewing.

Site users are encouraged to submit 'Alert Requests' to receive email when a property matching their criteria is listed. "Alerts provide an invaluable edge in today's competitive rental market," explains Kleimo. "An alert sent to your Blackberry or Treo could make the difference between securing the place of your dreams, or being the second or third applicant in the queue."

Due to popular demand, RentSlicer.com will soon be adding portals for San Diego and Seattle, with plans to cover all major metropolitan areas across the United States in the near future.
