On 9th November, at the AGI’s annual conference and exhibition, SeaZone Solutions Ltd will be launching their new marine mapping data product, SeaZone Hydrospatial.
SeaZone Hydrospatial represents an important sea-change in marine data by comprising a comprehensive, accurate and current map of the entire marine environment and coastal zone. Being interoperable with Ordnance Survey mapping, it effectively continues the digital national framework offshore. The launch of SeaZone Hydrospatial reinforces the UK’s reputation as a world leader in geographic information collection and provision and will consign the use of navigational charts back to the ship’s bridge.
“With all eyes of the spatial data community on the AGI Conference, it is the obvious place to launch our new product and emphasise our geographical information credentials” commented Dr Mike Osborne of SeaZone Solutions.
“This is an important product for anyone who requires detailed marine data whether for laying cables, identifying energy generator sites or monitoring shell fisheries and coastal environments. SeaZone Hydrospatial provides the quality of data that equivalent land projects have had from Ordnance Survey for many years.”
Dr Osborne is also speaker at the AGI conference and will, on the morning of November 9th, be discussing the next steps in integrated coastal zone mapping.
The SeaZone Solutions stand at the AGI exhibition will be demonstrating the power and utility of the new dataset for the duration of the show. The display provides an opportunity for interested users to delve deeper into the data and to see how much information has traditionally been omitted on navigational charts, from wrecks to detailed seabed bathymetry. In addition, the benefits of merging marine and land data for coastal zone studies will also be highlighted.
One to one meetings with Dr Mike Osborne, Director at SeaZone Solutions Ltd at AGI 2005 can be arranged for members of the press who would like a personalised demonstration and a more in-depth discussion
