The Timoney Group is a Colorado-based group of technology professionals who have a focus on getting your data into Google Earth and Google Maps. One of their latest apps getting some attention is a Google mashup/map of the New York City Marathon. It's a fantastic, yet simple application to view the course, and plot road closures, bathroom locations, and mile / km markers... very cool!
According to the company's literature, here's what they can help clients accomplish:
with Google Map...
plot street address locations from your spreadsheet or database
show GPS coordinates either as points or lines
attach "drill down" data, hyperlinks, and photos that display when the user clicks on a particular location
draw boundaries derived from CAD drawings or GIS files
update map content automatically as your data changes
with Google Earth...
customer addresses from spreadsheets and databases
your points, lines and polygons from CAD drawings and GIS data
topo maps, custom imagery, diagrams, and PDF content
custom icons and logos for branding your data sets
supporting data and hyperlinks to be embedded in the popup selection window
database connections that automatically refresh content
Doing business in English and Spanish, this is one of the first corporate business sites we've seen that has built their plan around clients wanting to distribute their data and apps using the Google Apps.
