Norcross, GA - Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging, LLC today announced the availability of Image Analysis™ for ArcGIS 9.0 and Stereo Analyst® for ArcGIS 9.0. These image processing and stereo feature collection tools are designed exclusively for ArcGIS 9.0.
Image Analysis for ArcGIS Image Analysis for ArcGIS is an all-in-one solution for preparing, referencing and analyzing imagery from airborne and satellite sensors. With just one imaging tool, GIS professionals can save time collecting and extracting up to date information derived from imagery stored within a GIS. New for Image Analysis for ArcGIS 9.0, users will gain access to a number of the extension’s image processing tools through ESRI’s ModelBuilder™.
Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS A stereo 3D feature collection tool, Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS is designed with a direct “image to map” approach. This saves preparation time and increases the accuracy of the resulting layers. With the release of Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS 9.0, users will be able to import standard frame camera projects coming from Intergraph’s ImageStation® Automatic Triangulation (ISAT) software, directly import IKONOS stereo data with RPCs and benefit from a number of new user options aimed at improving workflow.
“With the first release of the extensions we equipped GIS professionals with the tools they needed to exploit imagery for creating and maintaining their GIS content. The extensions for ArcGIS 9.0, builds on that and adds options and functionality to improve customer workflows,” commented Wendy Watson, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging. “Image Analysis for ArcGIS and Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS save users time while ensuring that geospatial information is reliable. We are proud to offer tools that enable ArcGIS users to work more effectively.”
