Approximately 12,000 people from around the globe will attend this years' International ESRI User Conference. They will represent public sector, business, health, education, and nongovernment organizations. They will give 1,100 paper presentations and will display more than 1,000 maps showing how GIS is used in public safety, community health, environmental management, DOT, banking, finance, retail, universities, K-12, and more.
The event takes place, as usual, at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA. Save the date... July 25-29. 2005.
Conference highlights this year include Jane Goodall of the Jane Goodall Institute who will be the keynote speaker. There will also be special exhibits and events, as well as a comprehensive solutions EXPO, where you will be able to see technology solutions from more than 1,000 partner companies... wear some comfortable shoes!
Once again, there are several concurrent events on the weekend prior to the conference so if you can get there a couple of days early you'll have access to some great events... these include the ESRI Education Conference, the Survey and GIS Summit, or the Telecommunications and Location-Based Services Summit. Also, there are approximately 50 preconference seminars.
