GeoSpatial World 2005 -- Intergraph (NASDAQ:INGR) Mapping and Geospatial Solutions today announced ShenZhen Power Supply Bureau (ShenZhen) successfully completed final acceptance testing of its advanced geofacilities management system using G/Electric. ShenZhen manages the electrical distribution for 17 counties, serving approximately 1.78 million customers across 2,020 square kilometers. Using G/Electric as the enabling core for a geospatial resource management (GRM) environment, ShenZhen will store all data in a single, geospatially enabled database to facilitate information sharing between other enterprise applications, such as its Corporate Information System and Management Information System. This will give users access to up-to-date information for viewing, editing or analysis tasks and other daily customer service activities associated with maintaining and provisioning the company's delivery network.

G/Electric, based on utility industry-best practices, will handle both textual and graphical data for integrated asset management. With its customization capabilities, G/Electric will also be used to develop company-specific functions to meet some of ShenZhen's developing requirements.

Currently, G/Electric has been rolled out to two of ShenZhen's counties - Henggang and Shajing. Data conversion for each county is now in progress and is expected to be complete within the next three months. Full implementation is expected to be complete by the end of 2005.
