The ICSM is the Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping and is made up of representatives from all the Australian States, Territories, the Commonwealth and New Zealand. Members are responsible for government surveying and mapping functions in their jurisdiction. Site visitors have access to loads of resources including an interactive toppo map index of Australia.
There is a surveying and mapping agency within each Australian State and Territory and a Commonwealth agency with specific national responsibilities.
The Australian Defence forces are also represented on ICSM and have specific national and international defence surveying, mapping and charting responsibilities. ICSM is comprised of senior representatives of Australia's Commonwealth, State, Territory and Defence agencies responsible for surveying and mapping. New Zealand is also a member of ICSM and their members represent both New Zealand civil and Defence mapping.
ICSM's key stakeholders include ANZLIC - the Spatial Information Council, PSMA Australia Limited (Public Sector Mapping Agencies), Office of Spatial Data Management (OSDM); jurisdictional Governments, and national spatial professional and business associations.
New items at the ICSM web site include:
·the 2002-04 Biennial Report;
