SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 28 - Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) announced today that its subsidiary, Trimble Mobile Solutions, Inc. (TMS), has signed a memorandum of understanding to form a distribution alliance with AmeriQuest Transportation and Logistics Resources Corporation.
The companies will offer low-cost asset tracking and security solutions using Trimble's TrimTrac(TM) locator. The TrimTrac locator, based on Global Positioning System (GPS) and cellular communications, is a palm-sized, battery-operated device that enables fleet operators to locate cargo, trailers, heavy equipment, and other high value assets via the Internet.
