Site Of The Week... EDN - the ESRI Developer Network  E-mail
Written by Glenn Letham (GISuser editor)
15 February 2005

Officially launched February 15, 2005... If you're writing and customizing applications using ESRI products and technologies, then this website is for you! ESRI Developer Network (EDN) online is a central location to find and view developer-focused articles, code samples, and other resources related to ArcGIS, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, and ArcWeb Services.

EDN is an annual subscription-based program that provides software developers with the resources needed to build solutions that embed the ESRI desktop and server technologies.

Visitors to the EDN website will find a codebase, discussion groups, documentation, and video tutorials. Looks like a great way to learn from fellow developers.

NOTE: In some discussions I had at Geotec this week with ESRI staff, I was led to believe that for roughly $2,000 subscribers to the service will have all the tools and resources they will need in order to test and develop their own web services and related applications... a very nice entry point for developers!
