Fort Collins, CO -- City of Hamilton, a municipal utility serving 27,000 electric, gas, water, wastewater, and public safety customers, finalized their ArcFM implementation on October 15, 2004.
The City moved from an Intergraph MGE system to ESRI’s ArcGIS and Miner & Miner’s ArcFM Solution to provide their utility and planning divisions with a streamlined, modern GIS system.
Miner & Miner provided implementation services and overall program management on the project, which also involved Mesa Solutions, and Varion Systems, a division of Geoanalytics Inc.
Utilizing the Design, Develop, and Deploy project implementation methodology promoted by Miner & Miner, the ArcFM project began in November of 2003 and went live less than a year later. Designer, Miner & Miner’s graphic design solution, will be implemented in the next year with integration to Azteca’s Cityworks.
“Miner & Miner has brought together a team of qualified people with specialized expertise for meeting our needs. This GIS project will ultimately benefit our city by providing standardization, accountability, and a user-friendly environment.” said Rob McLelland, Senior GIS Specialist at the City of Hamilton.
