Autodesk Partners Provide Customers in International Markets with Localized Enhancements

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Dec. 21 - Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK - News) today announced the rapid adoption of Autodesk® Civil 3D(TM) 2005 by its leading civil engineering developer partners. Since the product was released in August 2004, AKG Software and B&B (Germany), Geomedia SA (France), Digicorp srl (Italy) and Pritzat Derech (Israel) have all introduced localized enhancements to Autodesk Civil 3D 2005. Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 automates key design engineering tasks and presents complex concepts in lifelike 3D. The product enables civil engineers to create, manage, and share accurate, high quality designs.
"Autodesk offers a development platform that is relevant for civil engineers worldwide and a new way of working with location and structural data in 3D for greater understanding and insight," said Chris Bradshaw. "Partner momentum for Civil 3D is increasing quickly and our partners' value-added products provide global customers with customized civil engineering tools that extend reach of our product and the value of our offering."

Noteworthy for pioneering Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 enhancements within regional-markets, Autodesk partners AKG Software, B&B, Geomedia SA, Digicorp srl Pritzat Derech are all part of the Autodesk Developer Network (ADN). ADN affords member companies the opportunity to do business with Autodesk customers and capitalize on its market-leading product and global presence.

    Partner Product Details

-- AKG Software offers VESTRA, an integrated solution portfolio that
encompasses the complete ramifications of providing for city
transportation -- including rail systems, streets, canals, and
       waterways.
-- B&B ImbH is leveraging Autodesk Civil 3D to integrate its solution for
street and road building with an Oracle(R) Spatial database.
-- Digicorp Ingeneria Srl provides a wide range of applications using
Autodesk Civil 3D, for road design, railway design, and hydraulic
       applications.
-- Pritzat Derech used Autodesk Civil 3D to build a real-time Internet
enabled simulation/visualization product, RDV -- Rapid Design
Visualization. RDV lets engineers quickly visualize and communicate
their designs with entire project teams, regardless of division or
       responsibility.
-- Geomedia SA is offering its widely used applications for road and
highway design, Covadis and AutoPISTE, on top of Autodesk Civil 3D
       2005.

"Our customers respond enthusiastically to our solutions that leverage Autodesk products, and we continue to see tremendous value in offering applications based on the company's technology," said Rico Steyer at AKG Software, "Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 offers breakthrough efficiency and consistency in civil engineering tasks, by creating intelligent relationships among domain-aware objects so that a change to one results in updates to all other related elements."
