Exhibit Planned in Recognition of Geospatial Information Systems Day

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004 at the state Capitol, Commonwealth agencies, school groups, local and statewide organizations will showcase their real- world geospatial technologies in recognition of Pennsylvania's Geospatial Information Systems Day. This year's theme is "Flooding."
Geospatial technologies are a key component in helping to understand flooding impacts across the Commonwealth before, during and after significant rainfall occurs. The exhibit will include aerial photographs of recent floodwaters, which will be valuable in assessing and solving future flooding problems throughout the state.
