IONIC announces the release of RedSpider Web 3.2, a completely internationalized product, with full bi-lingual support for both English and French out-of-the box. RedSpider Web 3.2 includes the best functionality to build your interoperable spatial data infrastructure (SDI), in a scalable, robust, and comprehensive product.
With RedSpider 3.2, users can spatially-enable their organization with minimal impact on their overall IT landscape, cutting months off integration time.
Version 3.2 includes a powerful OGC Web Terrain Service, allowing for the production and navigation of 3D scenes that can be dynamically built with data from multiple, distributed Web Map Services (for imagery), Web Feature Services (for building or other feature data), and Web Coverage Services (for Digital Elevation Models, and more).
IONIC developers now can use PostGIS, the new and free geo-spatial enabler for the Postgres database, to deploy their data with both WMS and transactional WFS interfaces. And, RedSpider 3.2 supports http GET/POST, WSDL and SOAP interfaces for WMS, WFS and WCS interfaces. RedSpider Web 3.2 has been improved with an enhanced WCS for multi-spectral imagery, new indexing features, pixel-space capability for non-rectified images, and virtual layer management in a cascading environment. In conjunction with other IONIC products, RedSpider Web 3.2 allows for the deployment of massive, real-time Image Archives Services over hyperspectral (HSI), multispectral (MSI), electro-optical (EO), and radar data.
All of this can be accessed through the IONIC GeoViewer, which is distributed along with RedSpider Web. The GeoViewer, based on RedSpider Studio technology, offers a user-friendly, highly functional, browser-based application for accessing multiple, distributed WMS, WFS and WCS.
Said Dimitri Monie, RedSpider Web Product Manager, “The release of RedSpider Web 3.2 has been inspired by our users’ wants and needs. It represents the synergy between IONIC’s cutting edge technology and the maturity of the OGC architecture.”
