The Intergraph crew will be hitting the road shortly with a number of stops around the world for their Geospatial World Tour. A recent blog post provides a few reasons why you might consider hitting an event at a stop in a city near you.

If I were asked to pick one new capability that represents the innovation and impact of this portfolio, it would be Spatial Modeler. Here are three reasons why:

1. The combination of power and accessibility – the simplicity with which the visual editing tool lets you create seriously powerful analysis routines (combining and orchestrating data and functions) is incredible.
2. Fusion of remote sensing and GIS – the addition of vector and grid operators from GeoMedia to the existing image processing functions makes Spatial Modeler an eloquent demonstration of how combining the ERDAS and GeoMedia product families has enabled innovation and blurred the boundaries between remote sensing and GIS.
3. Enabling wider and more effective exploitation of spatial information and capabilities throughout an entire organization, and beyond – the ability to publish the models using OGC Web Processing Services enables the widest audience to configure, execute, and apply the power of dynamic modeling without the need for specialist training, software, or hardware.
