2013/2018 AGS Demographic Data Now Available from Spatial Insights E-mail
GIS News - Geospatial Data
Written by Spatial Insights
16 February 2013

Bethesda, MD, February 15, 2013 Spatial Insights is pleased to announce the availability of the AGS Estimates & Projections 2013/2018 demographic data for the US. Newly updated with current year estimates and 5- and 10-year projections, the extensive database developed and maintained by Applied Geographic Solutions (AGS) boasts thousands of demographic attributes for both census and postal geographic areas.

The Estimates and Projections database covers five broad topic areas: population, households, income (including “buying power” or disposable income), labor force, and dwellings. In addition to these high quality population statistics, Spatial Insights also offers updated Consumer Expenditures and Behavior, BusinessCounts, Retail Potential, Lifestyle Segmentation, Crime, and Climate and Air Quality databases. Census data from 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, and 2010 are also available.

“We think very highly of the AGS data and use it internally for many of our own site selection, trade area analysis, demand modeling, and mapping projects,” said Don Segal, Spatial Insights president. “The ability to quickly and efficiently deliver so many useful variables, at any level of geography for any part of the US, is a huge benefit to our clients.”

Geographic levels for the nationwide data include census block group, census tract, ZIP code, place, county, MSA, and state. Compatible with all mapping software, the data can be ordered in most standard database formats. Information, including pricing, is available at the following URL:
