The Washington State Chapter of the Urban & Regional Information Systems Association (WAURISA) is pleased to announce that conference registration is open for the 16^th annual Washington GIS Conference in Lynnwood, WA to be held May 6 - 8, 2013 at the Lynnwood Convention Center! This year’s conference theme is the Power of Place. Take advantage of the early-bird rate by Monday, April 1, 2013. This year’s Conference hotel is the Embassy Suites – Seattle – North/Lynnwood.

WAURISA is currently accepting presentation proposals for the 2013 Washington GIS Conference. The deadline to submit an online abstract is Monday, March 18, 2013. All lead presenters will receive a $60 discount from the 2-day or 3-day conference registration.

Vendors: Share your information with conference attendees! There are still several exhibitor opportunities available. All vendor exhibitor details can be found on the WAURISA website.

Students: The Dick Thomas Award Committee is now accepting entries for the 7^th annual Richard ‘Dick’ Thomas Memorial Student Presentation Competition and Award. Visit the submission page to enter. Entries are due Monday, April 1, 2013. More information on the Competition is on the Conference webpage.

After the vendor reception, make plans to join other Conference attendees from 6pm till 10pm at nearby Big E Ales brew pub for games, prizes, food, and friends at the Tuesday Evening Social!
