Cambridge, UK, 5th February 2013. 1Spatial is pleased to announce that registration is open for their official FME World Tour dates in the UK and Australia.

Aimed at educating new and existing users as well as assisting those who are considering the benefits of FME, these one day events will offer delegates the opportunity to develop their skills through technical sessions and interactions with FME Certified Professionals and Trainers as well as fellow users. The events will:

  • ensure existing users understand how to leverage the new FME 2013 capabilities;
  • provide a number of case studies from existing users;
  • enable new users to learn how to get a rapid return on their investment.

The UK Tour dates will be co-hosted by 1Spatial and STAR-APIC on April 16th at the Park Plaza in Leeds and April 17th at The British Library in London. Tom Timms, UK Director, STAR-APIC said:
“We are delighted to be working again with Safe Software and 1Spatial to promote FME World tour events. These are always very informative, worthwhile and enjoyable and a great way to learn more about FME”.

The Australian Tour dates will be hosted by 1Spatial on April 15th in Canberra, May 7th in Sydney, May 9th in Brisbane, May 10th in Melbourne and May 14th in Perth. Brett Madsen, Regional Director - Australia / NZ, 1Spatial said:

“These events give us a great platform from which to demonstrate the huge benefits of the FME technology. They are always extremely popular and we look forward to welcoming existing and new users to join us. We also welcome anyone that simply wants to get a better idea of what FME could do for their organisation and hear from other users already reaping the benefits that FME can bring”.

Register now for your place on the official FME World Tour by visiting www.1spatial.com/fme-world-tour-2013 and if you have worked on a project recently where FME has been fundamental to its success and you’d like to share your experiences at one of the events, we’d love to hear from you.

If you haven’t yet downloaded the new FME 2013 Desktop and Server software, these are also available from the 1Spatial website at http://www.1spatial.com/fme

FME 2013 features some amazing enhancements and new additions to the FME Platform, which powers both FME Desktop and FME Server. This version of FME pushes data into new territories with support for more than 300 formats, as well as new and revamped transformation capabilities. The new 2013 edition gives users greater support for visually informative point cloud and 3D data and many more features that help them boldly take their data where it hasn’t gone before.
