Nokia has just publicly released their full financials for 2012 via their 2012 Q4 Interim Report. The PR was lengthy and full of charts and tables, however, I did manage to skim through and picked up on a few interesting numbers. The company finished the year with loads of cash (about $EUR 9.9+ billion) and is apparently now showing signs of profitability, however, shareholders won’t be seeing a dividend – this from Nokia: “to ensure strategic flexibility, the Nokia Board of Directors will propose that no dividend payment will be made for 2012″
Stephen Elop, Nokia CEO… “While the first half of 2012 was difficult for Nokia Group, in Q4 2012 we strengthened our financial position, improved our underlying operating margin in Devices & Services, introduced the HERE brand to expand our mapping and location experiences, and drove record profitability in Nokia Siemens Networks.” Curious, Are you familiar with the HERE brand yet??
