Another LBSzone, location technology newsletter for the week of Jan 8, 2013...
Welcome again to another Location Technology news roundup. I hope the New Year is treating you well and you and/or your team are ready to rock it in 2013! A number of our friends here at SpatialMedia are hard at it early in the year and churning out loads of news and new goodies - case in point, Intergraph who just this week treated the media to an online event designed to introduce us to the 2013 product suite - oh, and look for details of a road show World tour stop coming to a city near you as well! Our friends at SuperGeo Technologies are also hard at it early in the year, the company is rolling out new solutions like the Mobile Cadastral GIS (Android) and they've also re-branded with a new name and logo to support their global branding - good luck to them! The team at Safe Software in Vancouver is hosting a live 2013 product launch event next week with Dale and Don delivering some goodies about what you can expect over the coming months... should be good! Finally, Ted and crew at Avenza has been very busy lately; the company has a recently updated iOS release and just this week they've announced some very cool technology in the write support for LizardTech MrSID Format in their popular Geographic Imager solution - nice! Thanks to all of you for reading and please feel free to ping me with your news, tips, tricks, or just drop a line. Keep an eye on LBSzone and @LBSzone for updates from CES like some of the goodies we've picked up on including details of the new Panasonic rugged tablet lineup, this nifty voice-activated location technology via Ford, and the latest tablet from Dell running Win 8 - sweet!
