Uber Weather (UW) looks simple but has the potential to “Change the Game”. It uses GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology to facilitate “Visual Search”. Google built its success on providing the best “Text Based Search” financed by minimalist advertizing that was highly targeted. UW takes that to the next level. Check out the site and watch the videos, you should start to grasp the massive potential. So far, we have targeted “Skiing”. You will discover new things about skiing using UW.
We need you. UW was built by one developer (me) with very limited resources. Thankfully Google makes it possible for this to happen. To take UW to the next level, we need “Founding Partners”, with passion, skill and maybe some money
The core areas of need are:
Language / Culture – UW needs to service the globe. We need translator developers today!
Weather Programmers – more, better, faster.
GIS Programmers – more visual search, discover, learn.
UX – make UW the best user experience.
Video Creators – Weather videos daily from around the world.
Marketing, SEO, Partner Programs – the world needs to find UW.
Business – Someone needs to run the company.
Innovators – the exiting part.
UW is already sponsored by Microsoft BizSpark and Google provides an amazing amount of support. But our ambition is to serve hundreds of millions of users with a new, “No SPAM” (display ads) experience, with a product they can use everyday and never “out grow”.
It is very simple to get involved. Do something (talk is cheap). Show your passion. Tell us.
