A GDT customer since 2001, FBS collects, assimilates, and distributes spatial data, providing comprehensive and innovative solutions for engineers, planners, surveyors, architects, land developers, utility companies and municipalities.

GDT's Dynamap®/Canada map data is used as the foundation for index maps that help customers select a purchase area in the FBS Map Warehouse that contains a variety of high quality mapping products made by FBS and available through re-licensing arrangements. The site is designed to allow users to readily identify and view a geographic area of interest and then download and purchase mapping data including orthophotos, parcel maps, flood line maps and digital elevation modeling.

Compiled from a vast network of sources, the Dynamap/Canada map data provides comprehensive street and address coverage, highly accurate geocoding rates, and excellent map display. The database contains nearly 100,000 kilometres of accurately positioned streets for better map representation and enhanced accuracy. GDT continually updates Dynamap/Canada to ensure the most complete and accurate coverage for Canadian provinces. During the last year, GDT has added more than 10,000 kilometres of new streets and more than 20,000 kilometres of newly named and addressed streets.

FBS plans to expand its use of the Dynamap/Canada database to power Zoom2it Map, an upcoming subscription mapping service that will provide online interactive access to aerial photography in Southern Ontario. GDT's mapping data will appear on Zoom2it index maps in combination with First Base Solutions Aerial Imagery and other third-party data sets.
