Washington, DC November 16, 2012 - New Light Technologies, Inc. (NLT) and the Sanborn Map Company’s Intelligence Division announce a strategic partnership. The partnership consists of co-marketing products and services that focus on strengthening customer value proposition for Geospatial information systems (GIS) services in the federal, DOD and intelligence sectors. Together, they will focus on cutting edge social media mapping, human geography, LiDAR and 3D Visualization capabilities.

“Our strategic partnership with New Light Technologies will bring value to our growing customer base in the Intelligence and Federal sectors," said Jessica J. King, Vice President of Intelligence Programs. "Together, we will strive to catalyze innovation.”

Both companies bring a common approach to provide the best value products and services to their customers. The partnership will provide expanded national coverage of capabilities for NLT, while establishing a civilian Mid-Atlantic presence for Sanborn.

“This partnership will help expand New Light Technologies’ Geospatial information systems offerings on a national-level,” said Ghermay Araya, CEO of New Light Technologies.

Currently, the companies are working on a 3D-building initiative that will provide a new analytic approach to 3D and LiDAR data products in the local, federal and intelligence sectors. “Creation and utilization of 3D models is becoming increasingly important to those wishing to perform full analysis of urban planning, flood modeling and situation analysis,” said Learon Dalby, Sanborn Vice President of Location Services.
