GIS News - R/S & Earth Imaging
Written by RapidEye
16 November 2012

Brandenburg / Havel, Germany, November 16, 2012 –  RapidEye, a leader in
high-resolution, wide area repetitive coverage of earth through its
constellation of five satellites, announced that a new product, the RapidEye
Mosaic™, is now available.

RapidEye Mosaics are a five meter, natural color, seamless orthorectified

imagery product using the most recently acquired RapidEye data available.
RapidEye’s constellation of satellites provides the ability to create high
resolution mosaics with the narrowest acquisition window currently available in
the market.

RapidEye Mosaics are seamlessly created to cover a country or a region with

minimal cloud cover and provide a high-quality, up-to-date base map product.
There are additional options for delivery of RapidEye Mosaics beyond secure FTP
or an external hard drive, including via web map service (WMS), tiled map
service (WMTS), or through a hosted Esri image service.

RapidEye is actively building out mosaics around the world. Detailed information

about RapidEye Mosaics can be found at: www.rapideye.com/mosaic/index. html. This
webpage is regularly updated as RapidEye's portfolio of Off-The-Shelf mosaics
grows. Clients interested in an area that is not immediately available are
invited to discuss with RapidEye the production of a Custom mosaic. Either an
'Off-The-Shelf' or a 'Custom' mosaic can be ordered directly from RapidEye or
any of its worldwide sales partners.

“We're very proud of this new product,” commented Scott Douglass, RapidEye's

Product Manager for Imagery and Mosaics. “By taking advantage of the strengths
of our satellite constellation, especially collection capacity, we're producing
high-quality mosaics with the freshest data at a compelling price point. We are
also strongly supported by our technology and sales partner GAF AG. Our team is
dedicated to delivering the very best products, and I believe customers will see
this in the final results of our product's accuracy and color balancing.”

For additional information about RapidEye Mosaics including detailed

specifications, brochures, demos and how to purchase, visit the RapidEye website
at www.rapideye.com.
