GlobeXplorer to Unveil New Premium Imagery Inside ESRI’s ArcWeb Services at Next Week’s ESRI UC E-mail
Written by GlobeXplorer
04 August 2004
Wednesday, August 4, 2004 - Walnut Creek & San Diego CA: ESRI’s ArcWeb Services will now include GlobeXplorer’s Premium Aerial & Satellite Image Service, which will be on display next week at both the GlobeXplorer booth (#1400) and ESRI’s ArcWeb Services demo area at next week’s User Conference in San Diego.

This immense online dataset is a collection of hundreds of terabytes of data from the world’s top providers of earth imagery - featuring data from AirPhotoUSA, DigitalGlobe, EarthSat, i-cubed, USGS, Cities Revealed, and many others partners from around the world.

“ESRI’s efforts to expand into online spatial data and services has made us ideal partners in supplying GIS professionals with the best possible raster data,” said Paul Smith, COO of GlobeXplorer.  “With nearly four years of partnering experience, ESRI has come to trust our ability to deliver large raster datasets online.”

GlobeXplorer will be demonstrating the power and versatility of the new GlobeXplorer Premium ArcWeb Service for both ArcGIS and ArcGlobe software, and will also be displaying the capabilities of their ImageConnect web extensions for ArcMap and ArcIMS software, which give users access to multi-resolution and multi-temporal data spanning many years.

“One of the advantages of our premium service is that it is continually updated with new imagery,” said Smith. “GlobeXplorer works closely with its content partners to upload imagery faster and more consistently than anyone else, and ESRI customers benefit from this. Providing trackable and instant online access to the most up to date, hi-resolution, and accurate imagery data has been GlobeXplorer’s mission from the beginning.”
