GMIC Connects Mobile Leaders and Developers from 40+ countries, Offers Global Mobile Markets Perspective

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Sept. 19, 2012 —The Global Mobile Internet Conference, will make its U.S. debut at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center October 19-20. GMIC Silicon Valley (GMIC SV) will bring together mobile leaders, investors and developers from more than 40 countries to discuss shifts, challenges and opportunities across the world’s mobile markets.

With the proliferation of smart mobile devices worldwide, there is an overwhelming need for a truly international conference that can connect innovators with the market leaders abroad” says Barrett Parkman, Co-Producer of GMIC SV. “We are excited to be the first conference to bring that focus to Silicon Valley.”

GMIC SV expects 5,000 mobile developers, investors and executives from more than 40 countries, including China, France, Japan, Israel, India, Singapore, Brazil, and Russia. With such global representation at GMIC SV, developers, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists can learn how to position their company or app in their target markets.

The conference, themed “Connecting Global Innovators” will focus on four tenets: Future of Mobile & Innovation, Global Markets, Start-up Ecosystem, and App Economy (monetization).

Conference events include:

· 100 top industry speakers, including keynotes from the CEOs of Evernote, Box, Tapjoy, Glu Mobile, Electronic Arts, Xiaomi and UCWeb. Vaughan Smith, VP of Mobile for Facebook will discuss Facebook’s mobile strategy.

· Live global start-up competition, G-Startup: 20 mobile startups present to a panel of leading venture capitalists, angel investors, and industry leaders from around the world for the chance to pitch on the Main Stage.
