This September 15, 2012, the 27th annual International coastal cleanup will take place around the World. Individuals, orgs, and others are asked to take part and pitch in to help cleanup the coastline, removing marine debris and other waste from the precious coastline and other sensitive marine areas.
This message comes from NOAA… On September 15, 2012, volunteers from all over the globe will come together to pick up marine debris from coastal areas. Sign up to join NOAA at one of its three sites in Washington, DC, Waikiki, HI, and Seattle, Washington, or find another location in your state on SignUptoCleanUp.org.
FYI If you don't see a cleanup scheduled in your area, or if you want to schedule one on a date other than September 15, you can propose your own now and find out more about organizing a cleanup.
