FARGO, N.D. August 31, 2012: RDO Integrated Controls (RDOIC), RDO Equipment Co.’s positioning division, has been awarded exclusive distribution rights for Carlson Machine Control Landfill products in the Canadian Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

Carlson Machine Control provides application-centric site solutions for landfill applications. These solutions include 3D machine control for compactors, dozers, graders, trucks, loaders, and many other machines. Remote monitoring and production analysis and reporting is available with these connected machine and man rovers, which also provide avoidance zones, compaction reports, slope monitoring, proximity warnings, and other site connectivity features.

RDO Integrated Controls provides Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) solutions, professional training, installation, service, and support through one of the largest technology teams in the positioning business. This partnership provides customers with expedited service to keep their landfill operations producing with minimal downtime.

“We are very pleased to expand the partnership between Carlson and RDO Integrated Controls,” says Randy Noland, Vice President of Business Development for Carlson Machine Control. “For the past three years, our organizations have been successful partners in the western United States, working closely to serve end users. This expansion of our landfill relationship will bring this same dedication to service to Western Canada.”

Tom Potter, RDOIC Sales Manager – Mining and Landfill, will lead the landfill business in our expanding footprint; which now includes 22 western U.S. states and four western Canadian provinces.

“Providing solutions for our landfill customers that enable them to increase compaction and reduce costly mistakes in slope work extend the life of landfills,” says Potter. “We look forward growing our team as well as continue to work with our excellent distribution partners to provide local support for the landfills throughout our new expanded footprint.”
