Developers can build fast, lightweight geographic information system (GIS) desktop applications with ArcGIS Runtime Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
To familiarize you with this platform, Esri will host a one-hour, live training seminar, Introduction to the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for WPF, on August 23, 2012. The presenter will explain the new runtime architecture and demonstrate how to build lightweight applications that will let users visualize, query, edit, and analyze geographic data in both connected and disconnected environments.
After viewing this seminar, you will understand how to do the following:
·Build GIS-enabled applications using out-of-the-box developer controls, templates, and samples
·Implement map navigation, editing, and geoprocessing functionality
·License and deploy applications
This live training seminar is geared toward developers who want to build lightweight desktop applications with GIS functionality. Development experience using WPF, ArcGIS API for Silverlight, ArcGIS Engine, or ArcObjects is recommended.
Attendees need a broadband Internet connection and an Esri Global Account to watch the live training seminar. Creating an Esri Global Account is easy and free: visit esri.com/lts, click Login, and register your name and address.
