The Organizing Committee of Olympic Games , the Board of Safety and ' Public Authority responsible for the construction of new facilities ( Olympic Delivery Authority - ODA ) have been coordinated with different security agencies that operate independently throughout Great Britain. All parties involved have one goal: to ensure an edition of the Olympic Games as safe as possible! The British Transport Police ( BTP ) is one of many police forces that are working with the planning of security operations for the 2012 Olympics. The BTP is the national
railway police force that provides services to operators and passengers of the railways throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The mission of BTP is to ensure a safe rail system to service interruptions and the risk of crime. To this end, the BTP has developed a SII ( Spatial Information Infrastructure ) environment designed to support the many agencies involved in the planning of security operations. The infrastructure provides access to support tools for operational planning and strategic analysis of crime, civil emergency planning, etc.. centralizing in a single system all geolocated data and information flows held by various security agencies.
