Herndon, Virginia July 11, 2012- The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) is accepting nominations for its annual awards program. The USGIF Awards Program recognizes the exceptional work of the geospatial intelligence tradecraft’s brightest minds. Work is acknowledged for intelligence achievement, to include government, military and industry; and academic achievement, to include top graduates and R&D. Anyone involved with the geospatial intelligence community may apply or nominate someone or a team for an award.

“There are few greater honors than to be recognized by your peers in front of your peers for outstanding achievement in your chosen profession,” stated Kevin Jackson, USGIF Awards Subcommittee Chair. “Now is the time to identify the extraordinary people behind the programs, the technological achievement and exceptional service supporting our tradecraft.”

Those selected for these awards receive free registration to the GEOINT 2012 Symposium where their achievements are acknowledged on stage during the general session, in the program guide, on our multiple websites, and in press releases and news articles. Teams and individuals chosen for this honor also receive their own award and certificate to commemorate their achievements. Winners attending the Symposium also have the amazing opportunity to hear the keynote speakers, experience panels and breakout tracks, and discover cutting-edge technologies.
