For the second year in a row, Spatial Dimension is happy to announce its sponsorship of the Esri Petroleum and Mining User Group (PUG/MUG) Social at the Esri International User Conference in San Diego on July 24th 2012.
With over 500 conference invitees from the Mining and Petroleum industries, this traditional social event is the venue for Esri users from the Mineral Resource, Oil & Gas and Geoscience communities to mingle, and promises an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, clients, vendors, and friends from across these industries. The event enjoys a relaxed, informal atmosphere with an evening of music and refreshments.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Geoff Wade, Team Lead, Natural Resource Industries for Esri stated “Some companies run on a calendar year, others on a financial – at Esri we tend to think in terms of our Annual User Conferences, since they generally coincide with the next release of our software platform – as is the case this year with ArcGIS v10.1. As such, the UC tends to be a celebratory atmosphere, and provides a terrific opportunity for the whole community to share their most recent work, their successes and achievements, and let their hair down a little with a collective sharing. It’s just terrific that Spatial Dimension, our leading partner in Mining Cadastre really just ‘gets it’, and is so supportive of this open community approach. We look forward to mixing it up with old friends and many new ones from our joint global mining community members again this year.”
Bill Feast, Managing Director of Spatial Dimension noted “This sponsorship helps highlight our strong partnership with Esri and further illustrates our commitment to leveraging the ArcGIS platform as part of FlexiCadastre. We continue to support this event as a way to thank Esri and their users for helping to cement us as the global leader in integrated Land, Mineral Rights and Contract Management solutions for the Mining industry.”
The PUG/MUG Social will be held in the Plaza Terrace (Upper Level), Room 28C of the San Diego Convention Center on Tuesday July 24th from 5:30PM to 9:00PM.
Also in San Diego, Spatial Dimension will be participating in the Esri Mining User Group (MUG) Meeting to be held Sunday July 22nd from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in Room 28B, adjacent to the Plaza Terrace on the Upper Level of the Conference Center. This pre-conference gathering will bring together fellow mining industry colleagues to discuss the latest geoscientific innovations, share knowledge and experiences with others in the exploration, geology, and mining industries and promote the purpose of the User Group. An informal social is also planned following the session.
