GIS News - Webinars and Online Training
Written by Esri
29 May 2012

Organizations today face a growing demand to increase geographic information access internally and, in some cases, to the general public. To make that easier and more cost-effective, Esri will soon offer subscriptions to ArcGIS Online for organizations.

With an ArcGIS Online for organizations subscription, organizations will have the ability to store, manage, and host mapping services in Esri’s cloud and easily publish geographic content using cloud services. To learn the basics of how subscriptions work, tune in to the free live training seminar ArcGIS Online Subscriptions—Mapping and GIS for Organizations on May 31, 2012.

After watching this seminar, you will understand the following:

· How ArcGIS Online can rapidly deploy web maps, applications, and services with little to no investment in your organization’s infrastructure

· What types of data can be used and how it can be organized

· How to assign roles in an organization’s ArcGIS Online subscription account and how that increases collaboration

· How ArcGIS Online works with and extends the capabilities of an existing geographic information system (GIS) to give more people inside or outside an organization greater access to its geospatial content

This live training seminar is aimed at anyone interested in learning about what ArcGIS Online can do for organizations. No prior GIS knowledge is required.

A broadband Internet connection and an Esri Global Account are needed to watch the live training seminar. Creating an Esri Global Account is easy and free: visit esri.com/lts, click Login, and register your name and address.
