Cheetah Software Selected as Top 100 Logistics IT Provider PDF Print E-mail
Written by Cheetah Software
01 May 2012

(May 1, 2012) Cheetah Software Systems has again been chosen as a Top 100 Logistics IT Provider by Inbound Logistics. Providing solutions for the retail, transportation, delivery, and logistics industries, Cheetah is recognized for how its solutions help companies of all sizes enjoy enhanced access to information and improved efficiency, productivity, and customer service in today’s challenging economic environment.

“When choosing this year's Top 100 Logistics IT Providers, Inbound Logistics editors looked for technology providers that solved specific logistics challenges, but also acted as change agents by helping to transform overall business operations. Selections were based on how transformative logistics IT solutions impact all business activities and drive integration across internal processes as well as external processes for vendors and customers. Cheetah was selected because its solutions work tactically to master supply chain transactions, as well as strategically to act as a change agent to drive the enterprise to more closely match demand to supply. Inbound Logistics is proud to honor Cheetah for innovative solutions empowering logistics and supply chain excellence,” said Inbound Logistics.

Cheetah helps large and small companies alike thrive in today’s difficult economy by providing enhanced access to information across their entire organizations while reducing labor costs, miles driven, and fuel usage — all while increasing profitability, improving customer satisfaction, and enhancing competitiveness. Central Freight Lines, for example, utilizes Cheetah Freight to increase productivity by roughly 5%, reduce miles per stop by up to 10%, and save over $1,500,000 annually.

Mark Stein, Director of Operations Services for Central Freight Lines, said, “Cheetah has helped us dispatch multiple terminals from one location, consolidate management teams, and provide better, centralized customer service. Our ability to accomplish these long-term plans in a few months has helped us weather the storm in an incredibly difficult economy.”

“Global e-commerce, sophisticated supply chains, and interconnected logistics networks result in numerous smaller transactions that are more time-constrained,” said Bobby Darroll, Cheetah’s President and CEO. “Retail, logistics, transportation, healthcare, and other organizations must move more orders in a shorter timeframe to more customers at a lower cost. We’re excited that Cheetah has been recognized by the transportation industry as being able to help address these challenges.”

Methodology:
Every April, Inbound Logistics editors recognize 100 logistics IT companies that support and enable logistics excellence. Drawn from a pool of more than 300 companies, using questionnaires, personal interviews, and other research, Inbound Logistics selects the Top 100 Logistics IT Providers who are leading the way in 2012. Editors seek to match readers' fast-changing needs to the capabilities of those companies selected. All companies selected reflect leadership by answering Inbound Logistics readers' needs for simplicity, ROI, and efficient implementation.
