An interesting un-conference and hack event is taking place in the Bay Area over the next couple of days (April 6-7) and I suspect some brilliant geo-hackers may be there – or at least should be there! The Un-Hackathon 2.0 issued a call to designers, software engineers, business strategists and other clever problem solvers who want to make a real difference in people’s lives.
The idea is simple.. developers get together and create/hack some cool civic apps that can change people’s lives for the better. The idea is to build apps that either create some sort of economic opportunity or enhance the civic identity and make people’s lives better in some way. Oh, and if if your concept wins you qualify for a TED City 2.0 $10,000 funding grant! See more at http://mixandstirstudio.com/unhack2/
