Geo-data service provider Europa Technologies has used the Esri Partner Conference in Palm Springs to announce the latest version of its market-leading family of global data products.
The 2012.1 release introduces a number of significant improvements including support for Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish languages, new global bathymetry layers, an enlarged populated places gazetteer and more hi-resolution coastlines.
The release also contains updated international and 1st/2nd level administrative boundaries, updated time zones with DST for 2012/2013 and a new online delivery option.
Additionally, 2012.1 delivers thousands of minor updates and improvements.
The release is also available by way of Data as a Service (DaaS) through the viaEuropa platform. viaEuropa provides access to hosted, high quality cartography as a map tile service that can be easily consumed by desktop, mobile and web applications. A free 3 month trial access to viaEuropa is provided with all new licences.
With new support for Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish, making a total of 16 languages, the global product suite is truly "glocal" by providing local language views to client operation centres worldwide.
Supporting the company's eco-initiatives, online product delivery on a quarterly basis has been made formally available for the first time.
Europa Technologies’ director and founder Warren Vick said: “Our global data is the most widely deployed digital atlas of the world. This first release of 2012 demonstrates our commitment to offer the most up-to-date and comprehensive data available. Enhanced language support, new bathymetry layers and an online delivery option affirms our position as a market leader."
