The event takes place at the campus of UNESP, in Presidente Prudente, Brazil, on March 23th. MundoGEO broadcasts the workshop live via webinar
Sao Paulo, March 20th - On next March 23th (Friday) a workshop, sponsored by ENCORE Project, will be held regarding the perspectives and applications of Galileo satellite navigation for land management. The event will take place at the campus of the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), in Presidente Prudente, Brazil, starting at 9 am (Brasilia Time). In addition, MundoGEO (http://mundogeo.com/en), leader on events and publishing magazines and portals for geotechnology industry in Latin America, will broadcast the workshop live via webinar free of charge.
ENCORE is a project under the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, of the European Commission and aims to develop an application of high precision and low cost for land management, taking advantage of the new Galileo signal features and taking into consideration the Brazilian needs in terms of geo-referencing of real states. With ENCORE, observables of the high accuracy code of Galileo were analyzed by using AltBOC modulation on E5 signal and CBOC modulation on E1 signal, providing an alternative to the observables of the typical carrier phase of GPS signals.
The "Galileo for Applications in Land Management - Achievements and Perspectives of the ENCORE Project” event is promoted by the ENCORE project consortium and will be presented in Portuguese. Besides, the workshop prioritizes the dissemination of the project results for the local community, with emphasis on colleges and universities, as well as potential end users. It also aims to demonstrate the potential of Galileo for topographical survey applications and identification of the main issues for the adoption of ENCORE-based Galileo receivers.
