Tallahassee, Florida, March 1, 2012 --- F4Devices, a division of F4 Tech and strategic partner with BAP Precisions, Taiwan, announced today the establishment of a European distribution center to be located in Jena, Germany.  The facility will perform order fulfillment and repair services for the European Union as well as Norway and Switzerland for the newly released Flint handheld from F4Devices.  “We are excited about this opportunity to bring a new, energized, highly competitive product into the region” said Erik Schuetz, Director of Distribution for F4Devices, KG.  “As a commitment to the European Market, the Flint fully supports the Galileo civil signal, which is a unique characteristic of such a device”, Schuetz adds.
The new Flint handheld was officially introduced last week. With the new Flint handheld, field workers requiring a rugged mobile handheld device now have a solution that is lightweight, compact, rugged, cost-effective and, most of all, performs.  The Flint fits well into GIS field data collection markets such as municipalities, oil and gas and forestry, to name a few.
The completely integrated Flint handheld offers a unique, one-of-a-kind combination of flexible GPS configurations, ranging from 1-3 meter to sub-meter accuracies, while supporting geotagging with the 5 megapixel autofocus camera as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G data.  There are two versions to choose from, the S812H (includes GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and 5 MP camera) and the S852H (includes GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, 5 MP camera and 3G data).
