There's no question that the topic of weed (marijuana, pot, smoke, dope, etc...) is always a hot one. I won't get into the politics or legal issues regarding it, however, I will share a pretty cool effort to map, in real time, the going rate for pretty much any type of weed you can imagine.

I've always personally found the topic of the legality of marijuana use to be of interest, mostly because its been a very hot topic in Northern Colorado where I recently lived, and now in B.C Canada where I currently reside.

Cannaberg (Beta) is a pretty cool resource where the crowd can share the going rate of weed based on the location or purchase/sale, type of product. The results are shared in real time on the web map, powered by Google Maps API. Cannaberg is also supported by a Twitter account @cannaberg and a facebook page

The site seems to have a couple of sponsors, marijuana dispensaries located in Denver, CO, Victoria BC, and the Netherlands.
